Press Release

January 4, 2026

San Diego ISD would like to announce that the District has been informed from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) that the 2025-2026 Teacher Incentive Allotment designations submitted based on 2024-2025 teacher effectiveness data have been approved.

San Diego ISD was notified that 34 teachers have a new or higher designation for the 2025-2026 school year. The District has a total of 50 designated teachers which is about 50 percent of the teachers working at San Diego ISD. Teachers may earn designations as Recognized, Exemplary, and Master.

The amount of funding the designated teachers earn varies by campus based on their designation level, the socioeconomic needs at campus, the rural status of the campus, and the spending plan created by the district. Teachers may earn from $3,000 to $32,000 depending on the designation earned. At San Diego ISD, designated teachers receive the maximum amount of 90 percent of the earned allotment.

Congratulations to all designated teachers! This is one more achieved milestone towards becoming a Model School System and providing excellence in education to all students.

Great Job!!!
