On Saturday December 6, 2025, San Diego High School had 5 band students participate in the ATSSB Region 14 Auditions in Kingsville, Texas. San Diego HS had the following 3 students earn a spot in the 1-3A Symphonic Band:
Mackenize Conchas - 7th Chair Flute
Liam Gallagher - 1st Chair Trumpet
Mario Barrera - 3rd Chair Percussion
These students will be performing in the ATSSB Region 14 Concert on Saturday December 13, 2025 in the new TAMUK School of Music Auditorium at 5:00pm.
In addition to earning a spot in the Symphonic Band; Liam Gallagher and Mario Barrera will be advancing to the Area Auditions and have a chance to earn a spot to be in the ATSSB All-State Band. Auditions will be on January 10, 2025.
From all of San Diego High School, good luck to Liam and Mario on their upcoming audition.

Mark your calendars! This week's Food Drop-off is happening on Friday, November 14th! 🎉
Parents, please remember that outside food can only be delivered to students for their lunch on Fridays. Outside deliveries for lunch will be denied on any other day.
Ensure your student knows their correct lunch schedule to avoid delays:
Lunch A begins at 11:30 am.
Lunch B begins at 12:10 pm.
Make sure to check with your student about their specific lunch time before placing an order! Lunched should be delivered 5 to 10 minutes before student lunch times.
Yesterday, 6 SDHS students participated in the Texas Student Legislative Session hosted by Texas State Representatives Guillen and Lopez. The students participated as a State Senator, Representatives, and journalist learning about the process that a bill goes through at the state level. They presented bills, served on committees, and voted as if they were part of the legislating process.
